ActivInspire is the Promethean version of Smart Notebook, While you do not have to switch at this time it is advised you make the switch now rather than later. Many Smart Notebook features are disabled without the Smart Board Hardware.
ActivInspire has the same look, and feel as well as similar interface as Smart Notebook, this makes adjusting easier and faster.
Importing Smart Notebook Files
1. Your Smart Notebook files will transfer over to ActivInspire, to do this simply locate the File button in the upper left hand corner.
2. Navigate to "Import" Select "SMART Notebook File V8, V9, V9.5, V10" and then select the Smart Notebook file you want to open, and ActivInspire will import and convert the file.
